Picture source - The Big Picture. More amazing pictures on the site, many are visceral and disturbing.  Description of this image: “Schoolchildren hold candles during a vigil held in memory of the victims of Wednesday’s shootings in Mumbai, in the western Indian city of Ahmedabad November 27, 2008. Elite Indian commandos fought room to room battles with Islamist militants inside two luxury hotels to save scores of people trapped or taken hostage, as the country’s prime minister blamed neighbouring countries. Thank you to our armed forces, police force, firefighters. Many have lost their lives in the last 50 hours protecting us during and after the terror attacks. Many are still fighting for us, even as I write this post.

We can show our gratitude and respect for all they’ve done since the night of 26th November.
