I wonder how many people worldwide do reach the actualization level!!
Most Africans linger around the physiological level where by even dont get all
it mentions. Others are achieved excessively or don't have others at all! Let us
talk about water, how many people in Africa do have access to safe water? Talk about sex, some have it excessively resulting in having many children whom they cant manage or who are fatherless!!
I believe there is still gaps to be filled and I believe there are some people who pump other levels of need basing on Abraham's theory.
All in All, God has the hierarchy of our needs and how to provide to them, but depends on how you present yourself to Him!!
Blessings!!

I liked your article and feel that until a social network actually starts being "owned" or at least share revenue with its user base coupled to altruistic social community activity they will never be at the top of Maslows Hierarchy , take a look at www.mygeni.org just emerging into limited beta.

Thanks for your comment Sylvia. Access to technology brings with it another facet, another avenue for reaching the self-actualization stage for sure. I understand where you're coming from, as I live in a country where the digital divide is huge. All the best with your project.

This is thought-provoking. As someone who works on policy issues surrounding the digital divide (www.httponline.org), this leads me to ponder how lack of access to technology will increasingly prevent those who are not online from reaching the self-actualization stage. Thank you for the post.
